For now I take back what good I've said before about avast! I know some internet cafes who use avast! and conficker got thru, avast did not pick it up. Same with my PC and I think they themselves send trojans or malware to your PC. Avast! at first hangs in on demand scan then all kinds of errors start to happen until the PC gets corrupted and dead. They definitely need some good work done here and stop using spyware themselves. Avast! does'nt even catch tracking cookies, maybe it's because they use it themselves or maybe even worse, trojans?

Avast! is the fastest and powerful anti virus I ever try and also able to detect unknown virus.

I'm using avast home 4.8 in my oppinion avast is good as antivirus and for the best its free with complete protection..Hope that avast keep the home version free..

I think the Editor is totally WRONG about 1st point (Ease of Access). Having used more than 4 types of AV's, I find AVAST having the most easy & accessible/ simple interface. In fact i would give it 5 out of 5. Anthony Dee

i do agree with u , avast is very much user friendly. i'm using Avast pro edition for more than 1 year, so far it is just perfect. I took this review site to see avast in No.1 position, but i'm disappointed. "Editors please do ur job sincerely"
